2006 is
our 28th year of guiding fishermen & wildlife
photographers to Alaska's best places.
Day trips: Fishing
from drift boats on Alaska's Upper Kenai, Middle Kenai &
Kasilof Rivers, we guide guests staying at Cooper
Landing's most prestigious lodges. Experience world
class Kenai River fishing with our 'well seasoned'
Alaska fishing guides for trophy:
·
Rainbow Trout
· King Salmon
· Red Salmon
· Silver Salmon
· Sea-run Dolly Varden
The Red Salmon Lodge - 1 to
7 day packages.
Our spectacular hand crafted log lodge
sits right on the bank of the Upper Kenai River just
above the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge. We are located
in Cooper Landing in the mountains, surrounded by
National Wildlife Refuge, National Forest and National
Park.
You'll see eagles flying the river right out your window
and sheep & goats on the ridge tops from your deck.
You can
fish new water for a different species every day or just
concentrate on your favorites.
The Upper Kenai River in the Kenai National Wildlife
Refuge is one of the finest fisheries in the state.
One to two million salmon come into these waters
annually and the trout fishing is nothing short of
amazing.
Only 20 guides are allowed here and all of us are
limited to no more than 10 trips each week.
It is a drift boat only fishery with no motorized
craft allowed.
Eagle, moose & bear are often seen.
And that
is just our back yard -
A short drive or flight and you are fishing in another
of the best places in Alaska.
This unique situation lets you enjoy the type of fishing
that Alaska is famous for without the expense of the fly
out lodges.
Wilderness rivers
- week long float fishing and photography trips to
waters that few others ever see. A wilderness float trip
is the adventure of a lifetime. Three of our favorite
rivers are:
Goodnews River in the Togiak National Wildlife
Refuge:
A serene & beautiful river that, in many years, has
the best silver run in Alaska. Add excellent rainbow
trout and char fishing and you see why we love the
Goodnews. We have one of the 2 permits to guide
floats on the Goodnews. The river sees very little
pressure.
Alagnak River - Katmai National Park:
A
spectacular fishing trip that always delivers the
chance to see a wide variety of wildlife -
especially those world famous brown bears fishing
the river too. Come in July for millions of red
salmon along with some kings or join us in the fall
for huge rainbows and sea run dollies.
Lake
Creek
-
Wilderness, whitewater & great fishing with Mt.
McKinley framed upstream. A string of old trappers
cabins dots the rivers course. Great fly fishing for
salmon, trout & grayling. Fun 'boulder garden'
rapids. This diversity makes Lake Creek one of the
finest float trips in Alaska.
